Florida lost verbal commit Schuyler Rimmer, a 2014 forward out of Orlando.
“It was a hard decision to come to,” Rimmer said. “But I felt like it was better for me to do it now rather than wait and have it be too late.”
The 6-foot-9 Rimmer has drawn interest from Stanford, Vanderbilt and Miami.

Florida met with Parker on Tuesday, and DePaul, BYU and Kansas will also meet with the nation’s top ranked senior this week.
The following week, North Carolina, Michigan State and Duke will meet with Parker. The week after that, Stanford is set to make a trip to visit him.
Parker tweeted a list of ten schools he was considering in July. His list featured Georgetown, Florida, BYU, Stanford, North Carolina, Kentucky, Duke, DePaul, Michigan State and Kansas.
Julius Randle will visit Kentucky on Sept. 15 and take a trip to Florida on Oct. 5.
“He’s got two visits set up so far, Kentucky and Florida,” Randle’s AAU coach Scott Pospichal confirmed.
Randle’s trip to Kentucky will coincide with the Wildcats’ Alumni Charity Game at Rupp Arena.
“Kentucky’s all over him. I mean, why not?” Pospichal said.
“I mean, come on. Of course it’s appealing," Pospichal continued. "If you’re making a business decision, you really have to pay attention to them.”
